Biography

Rina Garcia Chua is a (she/her/siya) is a creative and critical educator and scholar from the Philippines. She was a 2022-2023 Jack and Doris Shadbolt Fellow in the Humanities at Simon Fraser University, a 2023 Affective Currents Institute Fellow at Dartmouth College, and she received her PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of British Columbia, where she has taught courses in English, Literary Studies, and Communications and Rhetoric. Previously, Rina taught in international schools and universities abroad. Aside from these, she has edited three anthologies on ecopoetics and the Environmental Humanities, published several peer-reviewed journal articles, and her poetry has been featured in magazines and journals worldwide.
